Daily Times Honours Senator Lanre Tejuoso, Other Dignitaries
It was a night of glamour, glitz and razzmatazz at the International Conference Centre, Abuja as Nigeria’s heritage newspaper, The Daily Times of Nigeria ( DTN) honoured the creme de la creme in Nigeria and beyond at the 91st Anniversary of the organisation on Tuesday 16th of May, 2017.
According to the organisers, the Times Heroes Awards were initiated to honour deserving heroes who have distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavours and whose activities have positively impacted lives.
This legacy will eventually become an annual event to accord recognition to deserving achievers.
The high profile event attracted governor of the State of Osun – Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Abia State governor – Okezie Ikpeazu, Kogi State governor – Yahaya Bello, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity – Femi Adesina, former Minister of Information and Culture- Chief Tony Momoh, Publisher of Vanguard Newspapers- Sam Amuka, Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock- Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Hon Munah Pelhano-Youngblood (Representative of George Weah of Liberia), and many other dignitaries.
Senator Lanre Tejuoso (the senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District) in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly was once again decorated alongside other Nigerian greats at the Times Heroes Awards 2017.
This is another worthy feather on the cap of the distinguished senator as he received the Impact and Service Award.
The award is coming barely two weeks after the prestigious ‘Distinguished Service Award’ given to him by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).
Heroes decorated at the event include President Muhammadu Buhari, who was honoured with Nnamdi Azikiwe Leadership Award, President Nana Akufo-Ado of Ghana with Babatunde Jose Leadership Award, while immediate past President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan was honoured with Ernest Ikoli Leadership Award amongst others.
