DSS Nabs Kidnapper Who Abducted Woman At Festac Popular Store

The Department of State Security, DSS have arrested one of the kidnappers who abducted a woman at a popular super market in Festac, Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect, Okenyinka Chukwudi was arrested after a painstaking tracking by the DSS operatives after the incident happened.
The victim, Comfort Alaba, it was learnt, was abducted at Novel Supermarket located on 22 Road in Festac where she went shopping.
It was learnt that the armed gang stormed the store in the evening and pointed a gun at her and forced her into their waiting SUV and taken to an unknown place where she was until her recent release.
Our correspondent could not ascertained whether the victim paid any ransom before she was released or not.
Following the abduction, the men of DSS moved in and traced the criminals until Chukwudi, who lives at 100 Owoduna street in Coker Orile area of Lagos, was arrested.
The security operatives also recovered from Chukwudi, the victim’s mobile phone while his other accomplices were said to be at large.
Chukwudi was brought before Isolo Magistrates’ court where the DSS seek for his remand pending the conclusion of their investigation.
The court granted the DSS prayer by ordering his remand in prison custody pending the conclusion of investigation.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered from the security sources that efforts are being made to arrest other suspects said to be on the run.
