Dr. Babatope Agbeyo, the humble and dynamic chairman of Cornfield Group was recently honoured by the Joseph Ayo Babalola University, which conferred on him an honorary doctorate degree. For Agbeyo, this was much appreciated. But more of such recognition was to come.

On Monday, the wealthy entrepreneur played host to Mrs Naomi Ruth Barber King, accompanied by Representative Sharon Beasley-Teague of District 65, Georgia House of Representatives, and Dr Babs Onabanjo, President of A.D King Foundation at the Lagos, Nigeria Corporate Headquarters of his Cornfield Group.

At the reception, Agbeyo was once again officially recognized and commended for his efficient, effective and dedicated public service in terms of the vital role he has played in leadership and innovation and his deep personal commitment to helping citizens of the world and the State of Georgia.

This latest thumbs up by the distinguished delegation for the selfless accomplishment of Agbeyo is more of an attestation to his contributions in the field of education where he has carved a niche for himself.

Dr Onabanjo, who spoke concerning Agbeyo’s eligibility as a board member of A.D King Foundation, noted that the Usi-Ekiti-born entrepreneur was approved as a member after a thorough check of his background which revealed volumes about his achievements. These, he said, aligned with the foundation’s goals.

“A.D King walked in the shadow of his blood brother, Martin Luther King, and Mrs King here makes it very clear that the mission of the foundation is youth empowerment, non-violence as a way of life and entrepeneurship as an engine of economic growth,” said Dr. Onabanjo.

The A.D Foundation pays regular visits to schools in the United States to awaken the capacity of students for problem solving thoughts on the path to successful lives.

The students are taught how to have a belief in something and ultimately in God, propelling them beyond all limits.

The Foundation also encourages students to dream big and strive for the values of such dreams on the path to becoming entrepreneurs.

Agbeyo noted that the Foundation’s ideals are perfectly in sync with the mission and attainments of Cornfield Group.

“We are not just a company after profit, we are after what we can do for our fellow human beings, how we can make life better and appreciate God by by being our fellow brother’s keeper,” he said.

In line with such ideal, the chairman of Cornfield Group, despite being a Dramatic Arts graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and holds a Masters degree in Media and Mass Communication from Birmingham City University, his dynamic entrepreneurial quest seamlessly cuts across borders.

Agbeyo succeeded in being the innovator of a video compact disc serving as a solution which ensures that candidates are well educated and well informed about the rules and regulations of the examination body before they sit for major examinations held in the West African region.

The video compact disc solution aids more than 3.5 million users every year.

Through Agbeyo’s leadership, Media Concepts International Limited, an appendage of Cornfield Group which also includes Botosoft Technologies Limited and Cornfield Transnational Limited, developed a complete enterprise solution for the Nigeria Police Force, positioned to cater to more than 150 million users.

As an avid activist and humanitarian, Agbeyo is also involved in several organizations and personally sponsors various educational programs, medical bill assistance and women and children’s funds.

These, and his great investments towards youth empowerment to promote growth in education and in the workforce were the basis for his recognition and applause right on the Nigerian soil by the foreign delegation who came solely for the purpose.

The appreciative Agbeyo, assured the distinguished delegation that the Cornfield Group and its workforce will remain proud ambassadors of the A.D King Foundation.

“Whatever A.D King Stood for in his lifetime, we are fully ready to stand for that also. It might be in different ways and methods, but we will make sure we achieve the same ends,” Agbeyo said.
