King Solomon was born in the most of unusual circumstances in the interesting of romantic  duels between men and the most precious creatures of God’s hands called “women “. Though surrounded by the luxuriant niceties of life, he grew up with discipline as a mantra and turned out one of the finest of breed, richest and of most wise of humankind ever. He was a Prince in a polygamous home who was promised his father’s throne, even before his mother, Bathsheba conceived him. He later became king at a young age, but was also a great philosopher, adroit diplomat and shrewdest of businessmen.
More than that was his distinct, unparalleled and  unquantifiable love, appreciative heart and fear for God. Imagine the heck : the man offered ONE THOUSAND BURNT OFFERING TO GOD IN ONE NIGHT! Since then, no human being in the history of the world has come close to that lavish and unbashed demonstration of piety, godliness and audacious clamour for divine attention.
Even more than that, King  Solomon was a master builder for God! Until he emerged on the scene, the Aztec and Inca Kings of the Americas and the potentates of the Far East, who were given to  polytheism (serving so many and countless gods) were the known temple builders.  Even the Greek and Roman civilizations which at various times, before and after Christ gained global acclaim in knowledge, scholarship and sophistication, the many temples including the renowned ‘acopolis’ were dedicated to plethora of gods, including ‘the unknown god !
Things changed with King  Solomon. His ambition was to build to the All Mighty, All Knowing and All Powerful God! The Creator of the Universe and Possessor of all things!! Taking a cue from the initial preparations by his praising and unrestrainedly dancing father, King David, he got the finest and most treasured of materials and assembled  the most schooled, accomplished and refined of professionals to build God’s Temple – a place of worship and  prayer. The temple which was something the world had never seen before was completed and dedicated in 832 BC.
No wonder, when the Queen of Sheba, who was not only the ruler of Ethiopia but had great influence over many parts of Tropical Africa and North Africa and some parts of Asia, therefore controlled most of the world’s known  deposits of God at the time visited him, it is recorded that “her heart melted within her” and easily fell for this man. Like all of men, King Solomon had his incredulous indiscretions in latter life but falls in the pantheon of the greatest of men and is remembered daily in the liturgies of diverse faith, history books and literary renderings.
From time to time we have seen the like of King Solomon walk the earth. The people of the coastal metropolis of Twon-Brass on the Atlantic estuary to River Nun have had their fair share of great men. In our recent history, the island city a former leading outpost for Slave Trade, Legitimate Trade in produce, Euro-African Gunboat Diplomacy was also the  centre of British colonial rule in Nigeria and a pioneer host community not only to Royal Niger Company but home to countless undesecrated colonial graves from 1800s. It was the same city that lately produced the lanky, tall and pristine then Commander Alfred Diete-Spiff, Military Administrator of Old Rivers State (today King  of Brass and Chairman Bayelsa Council of Traditional Rulers) at the age of twenty years in 1967! Like King Spiff, his cousin, His Royal Highness, Ephraim Fagha Faloughi was born into royalty of the city of Brass on 17 November 1943. Today, he seats on the revered stool of “Ebiegberi-Spiff Chieftancy House of the Ada town, Twon-Brass city.
Just like King Solomon of Israel, despite nobility of birth, Faloughi  grew up realising that hardworking, honest and frugal lifestyle are the indispensable nuggets for success in life. From little things and out of a dint of industry and unquenchable knack to  succeed on the streets of Port Harcourt, Enugu, London  and ultimately, Lagos, he made it. And he made it big. Until the corrupting and suffocating impact of oil and politics- two areas he never delved into – he became the most successful businessman produced by Rivers State (Bayelsa). He dared into all good ventures: manufacturing, real estate, medical care, insurance, hospitality,  finance, etc. Just to mentioned, he founded NTCN, the first indigenous manufacturers of carpets in Nigeria.  He also chairs numerous boards, the most prominent today being Sovereign Trust Insurance.
Lest we forget like King Solomon, Chief Ephraim is a man of spectacular physical attributes and presence and only heaven would bear witness of how many hearts of the daughters of Eve caved in until his anchor settled in the great hinterland city of Nkwere in the house of the respectable Chief Chinaka. His heartthrob, the delectable, Ogoma Wendy Faloughi, whose culinary instincts ceaselessly compete to dwarf her legally attributes is obviously a pillar behind these laurels. Again, no wonder, the children of the house have turned out to be a super-power of hope and promise of a greater Nigeria ahead.
Much more than all the above, Chief Ephraim’s most outstanding parallelism with the iconic King Solomon is his love for God. A devout Christian and lifelong committed member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Denomination (Aladura). While Sir Herbert Macaulay and Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe where leading a host of our founding fathers to combat British colonial rule at the political level, the great Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase founded the Aladura Church in 1925 to provide direction and belonging for Godly Christian worship in an African mileu, devoid of the bland coldness and lack of atypical African interpersonal conviviality. From young age of 13 years, Chief Ephraim joined the church, served in every perceptible department and rose to become both a foremost evangelist, teacher and prophet. A man of deep spiritual instincts and perceptions, he has been the church’s forte in its establishment and missionary work in Europe and especially the Province of the Americas, which he heads and has risen to the rank of Apostle General (Bishop) and Chancellor to the Baba Aladura- the spiritual head of the church.
Like many other prophets Kings and great Church builders like King Solomon and the Emperor Constantine, Apostle General Ephraim, has today on 4 February 2017, convoked His Excellency Governor Seriake Dickson, Kings, Elders and people of Bayelsa and the Ijaw Nation and Niger Delta and Nigeria to join the Aladura family worldwide to dedicate a temple, the church’s most impressive of Cathedrals in Yenagoa, capital of Bayelsa State. Magnificent and simply picturesque! It is recorded history that at the dedication of King Solomons Temple, “the glory of God came down” visibly and dwelled with the people. Gladly, Governor Dickson is himself a tambourine carrying dancer in God presence. For the rest of the people, ordinary Bayelsans, we thank this man of God and leader, HRH Apostle General Dr Ephraim Faloughi.  It is an effort by one of our own in which we believe, God  will be entreated to us and help our leaders and us to move this Glory of All Lands forward. After all, this same God has always helped all those who sought him in times past and we are confident His glory will tabernacle with Bayelsa ever more.
