Prophetess Love Akpan

The police has commenced investigation to unravel the circumstance that led to the threat to life of a female pastor by fellow tenants who banned her from invoking Holy Ghost during prayer in their house in Idimu Lagos.
Prophetess Love Sunday Akpan of the New Jerusalem Healing Ministry was recently attacked and her life was threatened by some tenants who had warned her to desist from saying such prayers again in their compound.

The incident happened at 12 Ola Ogundipe Street, Banmeke, Shasha area of Lagos where Akpan rented a three-room apartment and used one of the rooms for healing prayer.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the tenants were angry that such invocation was affecting their lives and warned her not say such prayers again.
Four of the tenants have been summoned by the police at Area M Command, Idimu to explain their role that led to threat to life of Prophetess Akpan.
The suspects are Mrs Ebere Rafiu Balogun, Daramola Otuyelu, Mama Destiny and one Israel.

The suspects were summoned following a petition written by Akpan to the Area Commander, Idimu Command, ACP C Akika for incessant threat to life, intimidation and harassment.
According to Akpan, she rented the apartment where she lives with her family and was not using the place as church.
She said whenever she prayed and mentioned ‘Holy Ghost’, her co-tenants become angry and always said they were hurt with the prayer.
She said trouble started when some of them came to her and asked her not to say such prayer and she thought they were not serious.
Akpan said she became worried when they started threatening and attacking her and she had to report to the police.
When our correspondent visited the Command, the Area Commander, Akika was not around to comment on the matter.
However, police source confirmed the report and told our correspondent the police have since commenced investigation into the matter.
When our correspondent visited the house, one of the suspects claimed that they warned her not to do so because she was disturbing the tenants with such prayer.

Many people will not understand what happened in that compound until it has happened to them…

While I was living in a compound abuja where we had such a tenant, she will always host her church members at odd hours when you might have gotten home very tired from the day’s hustling and bustling only for you not to be able to catch some rest in your own room all because these people are “praying” at the top of their voices and then sometimes even hitting the wall (as they claim the spirit directs)…

They will pray like that randomly at hours like 10pm, 12 midnight and 2 or 3am…
Sometimes once in a month, all through the night…
And then sometimes even run a noisy generator added to it…

Most tenants were afraid of complaining about it for fear that they might be termed diabolical or maybe witches, but everyone grumbled about it…
Few tenants told her respectfully but she in most cases picked offence and then at night will “cast and bind” them indirectly…

It continued like that until neighbors from other compounds too started complaining and in the end, she was ejected on the grounds that if she can’t pray quietly, then she should rent a Church building and not a residency…
