How Synagogue Church Members Lodged At Lagos Hotel Were Robbed

Some worshipers believed to be members of Prophet T.B, Joshua’s Synagogue Church Of All Nations, who reportedly came to the Ikotun Headquarters of the church to attend service have been robbed at a popular hotel in Lagos.

The incident happened at Galaxy hotel located in Ikotun area of Lagos near the church, where members usually lodged when they attend programme at the church.

The affected victims were said to have lost about eight mobile phones and other valuables in the night of the incident.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that due to the high population of the worshippers coming from within and outside the country, there was no space to accommodate the number that trooped to the church.

It was that gathered the members who did not make alternative arrangement for accommodation, have to lodge in nearby hotels from where they attended services.

The key suspect, one Oliver Okafor has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for the alleged theft, while his accomplices were said to be at large.

It was gathered that the suspect managed to hide his identity from the victims with whom he had lodged at the hotel for two days and pretended to have come for service.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt that the suspect, who claimed that he lived some where in Ogun State, had successfully carried out his evil intention but his criminal act came to a dead end as he was trailed to another hotel at 7/8 Bus Stop in Ajao Estate where he was eventually arrested and charged to court on Monday.

The suspect was arraigned before Magistrates court sitting in Ejigbo for the alleged theft under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 11th of November, 2017.
