Outgoing governor of Lagos State chapter of Performing Musicians Employers Association (PMAN), Sir Kareem Ayinde Olomide Osoba has pledged to improve on his past achievement if given another chance just as members go to the poll to elect new officers to run the association’s affairs for another four years.
In a chat with newsmen at his Sabo, Yaba office on Tuesday, the top Fuji musician fondly called Kabiyesi assured members of taking the association to more higher pedestal if voted into office for another term.
According to him, governance is about selfless service and this he said he vigorously demonstrated to the best of his ability during his first time in office.
“This is the primary reason I’m in the race once again, to further use everything God gave me including my time, creativity, vast network and energy, to improve the wellbeing of our members and to better the standard of our association locally and globally,” he explained.
Meanwhile, top members of Lagos PMAN have declared support for the outgoing governor’s second term bid, saying his reelection will bring more development to the association.
One of them, Alhaji Fancy Aye Alamu, commended Olomide Osoba for the laudable development programmes that his administration initiated within the four years of its tenure.
Assessing the administration’s performance, the veteran Fuji musician noted that it recorded considerable success in various areas that were beneficial to members.
He, however, added that this feat could not have been achieved without the support of members, while asking for more support for the outgoing governor’s reelection come June 15, 2017.
