Just Rite Store Staff Sent To Prison For Allegedly Stealing N250 Sweet

A staff of Abule Egba, Lagos branch of Just Rite Super Store, Joshua Joseph has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for stealing N250 worth of sweet.
The staff pleaded guilty to the offence and was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when he will be sentence accordingly.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect, Joseph allegedly stole some sweetened Dikins Coconut flakes valued at N250 from the store.
He was caught by the management who handed him over to the police at Abule Egba division for prosecution.
Our correspondent gathered that the police tried and did everything to advise the management to settle the matter out of the court after the suspect admitted that he stole the item but to no avail.
Joseph was reportedly offered to work even for some months without pay to serve as restitution but the company refused.
They insisted that Joseph should be charged to court to serve as deterrent to other staff who might try such in future.
He was eventually charged before Ogba Magistrates court for stealing under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, Victor Eruada asked the court for adjournment to enable him to present the fact of the matter for sentence.
The court ordered the remanded of Joseph in prison and adjourned for facts and sentence.
