It was mixed feelings for Mr. Obinna Arthur and his wife, Chinyere who reportedly raped and posted their neighbour’s nude video on social media, as Chinyere put to bed a baby boy inside the prison in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the couple claimed that they were not aware that Chinyere was pregnant until after some months in prison when the prison doctor confirmed the pregnancy.

This was confirmed by both the prison and court officials who informed the court that Chinyere was recently delivered of a baby inside Kirikiri prison.

Many expressed surprise how Chinyere became pregnant while both of them were still in detention but they were not kept in the same prison cell.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that it was either Chinyere was impregnated in the prison or she was pregnant before they were sent to prison in March 2017. People were of the opinion that Chinyere might have actually been pregnant before she went to prison but because of the pressure of the offence they allegedly committed, she was unable to notice any sign until they got to prison.

P.M.EXPRESS had reported that the couple had been ordered to be tried for conspiracy and rape at the Lagos High Court following the outcome of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP advice which has now taken over the matter for prosecution.
