Landlord, Female Tenant Fight Over Rent Palava

A landlord, Babatunde Okuribido and his female tenant, Mrs Fabumilola Kemi have been arrested for engaging in a public fight over disagreement on rent and quit notice in Lagos.
At the Isolo Magistrate’s court where they are facing trial, the two were ordered to be remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri, Lagos.
They were charged with conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and engaging in free fight in a public under the Criminal Code.
The incident happened at 16, Akowonjo Street in Isolo where they reside.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered Kemi who is a nurse and married was angry that Okuribido asked her family to pack out of their apartment at a period they are facing severe financial challenges which lead to their inability to pay their house rent.
The landlord also accused the woman of always making trouble in the compound while her husband was not paying house rent as when it was due.
However, Kemi denied the allegation and claimed that Okuribido deliberately wanted to embarrass and frustrate her family as they are not the only tenant that had issue in the compound.
Kemi engaged Okuribido in an exchanged of hot words which resulted in both engaging in a public fight the compound.
The matter was reported to the police at Aswani division and they were arrested and charged to court.
They pleaded not guilty.
The residing Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Adedayo granted them bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 6 February 2016.

    Someone is owing house rent and you are requesting 50k for bail where will he bring the money, if he have 50k they will be no case
