Olamide, Juliet Ibrahim, Timaya, Joselyn Dumas Become Glo Ambassadors

Multiple award-winning rapper Olamide and sultry actress Juliet Ibrahim have been announced as new members of the prestigious group of brand ambassadors of the telecommunications giant, Globacom.
In a statement released on Thursday, Globacom disclosed that the two and two other creative talents, dancehall star Timaya and screen diva Joselyn Dumas have been inducted into the exclusive Hall of Fame for Globacom’s brand icons.
Olamide’s new deal with Globacom is coming barely two months after his contract with another telecoms brand, Etisalat ended.
“Olamide was signed on as an ambassador because of his creativity and diligence, which have earned him an enviable status in the music industry. Both Olamide and Timaya have become sources of inspiration to millions of Nigerian youths,” Globacom statement reads.
Timaya is a highly successful artiste, with bias for raga, hip-hop, dancehall and afro beat. Some of his albums include, True Story, Gift and Grace, De Rebirth, LLNP and Upgrade. He is the founder of South-South hip hop group, Dem Mama Soldiers.
He started his solo career in 2005 with the release of Dem Mama, which was widely accepted across Nigeria, especially among the youths.
He is a multiple award winner and has to his credit four Headies Awards and one Nigerian Music Award. In 2011, Timaya was appointed a Peace Ambassador by the Inter-religious and International Federation for World Peace (IIFWP).
Juliet Ibrahim, also a singer and humanitarian of Lebanese, Liberian and Ghanaian descent, is a multi-linguist.
The screen siren speaks English, French and Spanish and has been described as one of the prettiest female faces in Africa.
The multiple award-winning actress who started acting over 10 years ago has over 100 movie features to her credit.
She is a strong advocate for the fight against Ebola, a cause she’s so bent on achieving and she even has an audio and video awareness song on the killer virus.Juliet is also a compere who stunned the world recently when she co-hosted the last Glo-CAF Awards where she dazzled live and television audience with her fluency in English and French while exhibiting the extent of the reach of football across the globe.
Joselyn Dumas, a Ghanaian television host and actress is currently the host for a new TV talk show @ Home with Joselyn Dumas, aired across Africa and parts of Europe.
Dumas was a practicing para-legal until 2014 when she starred in A Northern Affair, a role that earned her a Ghana Movie Award and an Africa Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
She made her debut on Television as the host of Charter House’s Rhythmz, an entertainment show, which saw her interviewing many celebrities. She was head-hunted by one of Ghana’s biggest Television Networks to host their first own produced flagship Talk show, The One Show, which was aired from 2010 to 2014.
Olamide, Timaya, Ibrahim and Dumas will be in good company with other high flying mega stars who are already ambassadors to Globacom. These include ace actress, Patience Ozokwor popularly called Mama G; music divas, Omawumi and Ego, delectable Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, stand-up comedians Basketmouth and Bovi Ugboma; fast rising musicians Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and Hadizah Blell (Di’ja), Africa Rapper Number One, MI.; and a host of other mega stars.
