Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has  been told not to listen to the voice of men and act in accordance to the dictate of the earthly authorities in the administration of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

These are what Pastor Jeremiah Otuoho Bello of the Covenant City Ministries, 7 Okesina Street, Meiran, Ojokoro LCDA, Lagos said God told him to deliver to the General Overseer Worldwide of the RCCG.

Pastor Adeboye had early in January this year announced a far reaching change in the Redeemed Church which caught the world unaware.

Pastor Joseph Obayemi was made the new  General Overseer of the RCCG in Nigeria with Adeboye becoming the General Overseer, Worldwide, of the church. Before stepping down as head of Nigeria’s Redeemed Church, the RCCG had before then having only Adeboye, the septuagenerian cleric, as the General Overseer and spiritual head of the church.

Giving reasons for the changes, Adeboye, who has been leading the church since 35 years, said it became necessary following a  Federal Government policy which  instructed some of the General Overseers in the country who have used  more than two tenures in office to retire.

He was citing the policy of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of  Nigeria’s Code of  Corporate Governance, which was first put forward in 2015.

Speaking with PM EXPRESS early this week in Lagos, Pastor Bello said: “I  was in revelation when I saw that I was in Redeemed Church at the Redemption Camp with Pastor Adeboye ministering. During the ministration, he said he had retired. Immediately I heard a voice saying, ‘don’t mind him, it is not yet time for him to leave the seat, but he is just doing his own, listening to the voice of human beings’. The voice warned that if he persist in disregarding the divine directive, there is grave consequence.”

The Kogi State – born man of God recalled that he had a similar message for Pastor Adeboye in 2014 when God directed him to the RCCG General Overseer that he should not on any occasion resign from the position as Him (God) was not yet through with him.

“I  took it upon myself to pay a visit to the Redemption Camp to personally deliver the message. I met one of Adeboye’ Personal Assistant then. One thing about God is that if He sends you a message, you should not be reluctant in delivering the message no matter who the person is. Obedience is better than sacrifice so say the Bible, ” he said.

The Covenant City Ministries Pastor’s predictions in the past have always come to past.

He predicted and warned Lagos State Government and the citizens of an impending ocean surge that wreak havoc on Victoria Island in 2012 and he was one of the several men of God that warned former President Goodluck Jonathan not to have any ambition of contesting for second term after he won the election of 2011. He warned Jonathan then that he would be better off to leave with dignity than nursing the ambition of going for the second term.
