Few days after some robbers were charged before a Lagos court for burglary at the Redeemed Christian Church of God where they carted away some valuables, another church has been burgled and their musical instruments stolen in Lagos.

That was after they had ransacked the while church and the offering box and did not find any money inside it. And in order not to lose out totally in the operation, they stole the instruments.

However, they were unlucky after the act as one of them Ojo was later caught and handed over to the police at Ikotun Division where he reportedly confessed committing the crime.

He was charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court for burglary and stealing.

He pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. F.K.J Layeni granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
They matter was adjourned till 7 March, 2018.

P.M.EXPRESS attempted to find out why criminals seemed to have focused on the places of worship for their criminal activities. Some of the Lagos residents attributed it to three factors which included hardship, flamboyance of the pastors and church offerings they physically saw in the places of worship.

A resident said there was serious hardship in the land as such criminals felt there was scarcity of money in the hands of individuals and churches easily became targets where the criminals shifted their focus to, coupled with the lifestyle of many ministers of God.
