1 Youth 2 Skills: Ozalagba Commends Soludo’s Human Capital Development Impact

Resourceful entrepreneur, Hon. Osita Ozalagba, has commended the Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo for the huge impact of his Human Capital Development project for youths.

 

Ozalagba disclosed this as a resource person at yesterday’s one-day workshop organized for 1 Youth 2 Skills trainees themed “Setting The Right Values For A Prosperous Homeland.” at Dunukofia Local Government Area Headquarters, Ukpo.

 

Speaking at the workshop,
Ozalagba while commending the state government’s practical initiative targeted to empower youths in the state with employable and exportable skills. He urged them to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship values to be successful agents of change.

 

“Be problem solvers and play positive roles to curb peer pressure, restiveness, crimes and the likes,” he stated.

He further enumerated and extensively explained what he described as the core values of transformation as fear of God, patriotism, self reliance and discipline. Others include sacredness of life, demonstration love and empathy, spirit of oneness, ethno-religious tolerance, truth, justice and dignity of labour.

 

“As this Phase 2 program will train about 10,000 youths which has already trained 5,000 people aimed to create millions of millionaires out of Anambra youths and export them to all parts of the world, I urge you all to seize the opportunity as a transformational step to self sufficiency”.

 

Ozalagba while urging the trainees to imbibe the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, revealed that the program’s five systematic pillars include; business apprenticeship, entrepreneurial skills training, cooperative societies formation, business financing opportunities, and entrepreneurial mentoring.

The eloquent resource person extold the power of one man’s vision of Soludo to initiate merger for banks which has strengthened the banking sector adding that Prince Engr. Arthur Eze has also demonstrated traits of an accomplished investment mogul for his pragmatic dignity in business dealings.

 

Earlier, in his address, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Agha Mba, ably represented by the Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area, Barr. C. J Ozumba, commended Governor Soludo’s stout commitment to youth development and empowerment geared towards improving lives for financial independence and job creation.

 

The Commissioner charged the trainees to be dedicated to acquiring life changing skills to become employers of labour.

Recall that In 2023, over ₦2 billion was disbursed participants in the first phase, with an additional ₦2.5 billion set aside for beneficiaries willing to access it through the Anambra Small Business Agency (ASBA).

The event was attended by all the leaders of youth groups in Dunukofia.
