There was apprehension in some parts of Lagos at the weekend after police detectives reportedly arrested two men suspected to be members of the dreaded terrorists group, Boko Haram at Alaba market in Lagos.
The suspects, P.M.EXPRESS learnt were arrested at Alaba Rago area of Ojo local government Area of Lagos.
The identities of the suspects believed to have been detained at Okokomaiko police division were not yet disclosed.
The divisional police officer, DPO also declined to speak to our correspondent when he visited the division for official confirmation on Saturday.
However, police sources at the Station confirmed the arrest and told our correspondent that the signal has been sent to the Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni to that effect.
P.M.EXPRESS could not confirm whether the operatives recovered any weapons from the suspects as being speculated in the area.
The mission of the suspects was not clear as the police have not made any official response concerning the arrest.
However, P.M.EXPRESS observed the presence of fully armed soldiers and Police deployed to the area.
Some of these operatives were in a Metro-branded truck patrolling the stretch from Lagos State University, LASU Expressway towards Igando area of the axis.
Their presence have caused a sort of panic in the area as the residents now feel more troubled about their safety.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered from the security sources that the team comprising the Police, DSS and Military are working jointly to ensure that Lagos State is safe.
