Two confessed serial robbers, Michael Olumoke, 28 and Alex Felix have been sentenced each to three years imprisonment without an option of fine by a Lagos court.
The two were convicted after they pleaded guilty to various crimes.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Felix and Olumoke were apprehended at night by security guard at 4, Akinyemi Street in Igando when they climbed a fence to enter a house and broke into a shop to steal.
While they were about to carry out their plans, the security guard raised alarm and they were apprehended and taken to the Oba of Igando Palace.
At the palace, they confessed and said they were behind several robberies in the area and mentioned several shops they had broken into and stole items.
They were then taken to the police at Igando division who later charged them to court where they also confessed and pleaded guilty.
During the fact and sentence, the prosecutor, Inspector Kenneth Asibor told the court that the suspects were well known hardened criminal who had no mind to change.
He said once they are released, they will go back to commit similar crime as their records showed that they have constituted serious threat in the area.
He therefore urged the court to give them stiff punishment to serve as deterrent to other who might want to commit similar offence.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs J.O.E Adeyemi found them guilty as charged and sentenced them accordingly.
