2 Men Arraigned For Stealing Company’s Machines Worth N12.8m

Two men, Manuel Daniel,22 and Jide Fadoju, 34, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly stealing company’s machines worth N12.8m belonging to Tess Piping Installation Ltd. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened in October,2025, at Araromi Street, Anifowoshe Ikeja, Lagos.

 

According to the Police, the suspects and others now at large conspired, went where the items were kept, carted them away and escaped.

 

The matter was reported to the Police at Area G Command, Ogba, Lagos. The suspects were arrested and detained at the Command for interrogation over their alleged conduct.

 

After thorough interrogation, the Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

“That you, EMMANUEL DANIEL ‘M’, JIDE FADOJU ‘M’ and others now at large on or before October, 2025 at No. 20, Araromi Street, Anifowoshe, Ikeja. Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT II:” That you, EMMANUEL DANIEL ‘M’, JIDE FADOJU ‘M’ and others now at large, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did fraudulently steal, welding machine valued N800,000 (Eight Hundred Thousand Naira) only, 6F cutting machine N8,000,000 Eight Million Naira) only, cutting disc, electrodes, cable extensions, safety valued N4,000,000 (Four Million Naira) only, totaling N12,800,000 velve Million Eight Hundred Thousand Naira) only, properties of Tess Piping Installation Ltd., and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the criminal Law of State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

However, they pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
