Police operatives in Lagos State have arrested two supposed members of FourSqare Church, Elijah Sanni Momodu, 34 and Okenze Ikenna, 45, for allegedly swindling two members of the church to the tune of the sum of N1.2m during camp prayer under the false pretence of securing Nigerian International Passport alongside employment in an oil company.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at FourSquare Church camp, Orisunbare area of Lagos, where the victims, Olisah Israel and Charity Nwabueze met the suspects.
The suspects met the victims at the camp prayer and promised to assist them by obtaining N570,000 and N650,000 from under the false pretence of procuring Nigerian International passport for Israel and getting a job for Charity in an oil company respectively.
The victims believed them because they met at the Camp during prayers unknown to them that they were fraudsters, who disguised and went to the camp to defraud innocent people.
After obtaining the said money from the victims, they bolted away without fulfilling their promises and disconnected every communication they had with the victims.

After rounds of interrogation, the Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for conspiracy and stealing, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
They pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
