Two men, namely Samuel Orimisan and Jones Friday, reportedly caused an ugly scene in a popular Lagos hotel while fighting publicly over a lady.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Paradise Hotel located at Orile, Iganmu area of Lagos.
One of them, 30-year old Samuel Orimisan, has been arrested while his accomplice, Jones Friday, was said to be at large.
He has been charged for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by slapping Jones Friday, which resulted into a fight at the hotel.
According to Police sources, the two men met in the hotel before an argument ensured over the lady in question and later degenerated to fighting publicly.
The management of the hotel intervened and contacted the Police from Orile Division, who arrested Orimisan.He was later charged before the Ebute Metta Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty before Court.
The prosecutor, Inspector Jimah Iseghede, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that the defendant committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. F. O. Ikobayo, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two surety in like sum and adjourned the matter to a later date.
The defendant was remanded in custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions while the matter will come up on 7th August, 2021, for mention.
