2 Men Engage In Public Fight Over Lady

The Police have arrested a 30-year old lady, Miss Faith Nwankwo, who reportedly brought two of her suitors at the same time to her family house in Lagos, which prompted the men to engage in a public fight for supremacy.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at their family house located at Haruna Street in Ifako Ijayi area of Lagos, where the two rivals, Chukwuemeka Chris and Fedis Alozie met and the fight ensued.

During the fight, it was gathered that one of the men, Chris, was said to have used a bottle and stabbed his rival, Alozie, on the head. He reportedly bled profusely and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ifako Division and the lady, Faith, was arrested alongside one of her suitors, Chris, and was detained at the police station for investigation.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the lady deliberately invited the two men on the same day which prompted the public fight. The Police did not state the motive behind her action on the day the incident took place.

The men were said to have been putting pressure on Faith for marriage and she decided to solve the problem. Determined to know who to get married to among the two men, she then invited them for introduction at the same time.
After investigation, the Police charged her before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by inviting the two suitors on the same day. While one of the suitors, Chris, was also charged for assault by stabbing his rival and injuring him in the process.
They pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Ezekiel Ayorinde, asked the Court to give a date for hearing of the matter to enable the Police to prove that the defendants actually committed the alleged offences.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted Chris and Faith bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till 14th August, 2019.
