2 Suspects Arraigned For Allegedly Forging Documents Of Toyota Yaris Car To Sell

19-year old Omoge Gift and Tunde Shittu, 32, have landed in trouble for allegedly forging the documents of a Toyota Yaris Vehicle car with registration number AGL 190 HU belonging to Chukwu Nnaemeka, in order to sell it in Lagos State.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that they have been arrested and charged for the alleged conspiracy, forgery and stealing under the Criminal Law of the State.

 

The incident happened on 15th November,2025 at Sheriff Street, Aiyetobi Bus Stop, Alagbado, Lagos.

 

However, they ran out of luck as they were arrested by Police operatives from Alagbado Division and detained at the station for interrogation over their alleged conduct.

 

After thorough interrogation, the Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

COUNT 1: “That you, Omoge Gift, and Tunde Shittu, M both ‘m’, on the 15/11/2025 at about 1000hrs at 22 Sheriff Street, Aiyetobi Bus Stop, Alagbado, Lagos State, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit Forgery and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT II: “That you, Omoge Gift, m, and Tunde Shittu both ‘m’, on the same date time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did forge the the particulars of one Toyota Yaris car with registration number AGL 190 HU belonging to one Chukwu Nnaemeka ‘m’ with the intention to sell it and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 365(1) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT III: “That you, Omoge Gift and Tunde Shittu both ‘m’ on the same date, tirne and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal one Toyota Yaris car with registration number AGL 190 HU valued Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Naira Only (N2, 800,000.00k), belonging to one Chukwu Nnaemeka ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 287(10) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

However, they pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
