2018 Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon: Probeni Assures  Of Fantastic Race

The Head of Technical for the 2018 Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon, Seigha Porbeni has assured that all hands are on the deck to ensure a successful, peaceful and well-organized race this weekend.

Porbeni disclosed that painstaking efforts have been made to ensure that the Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon which is now in its third year is far better than the two editions that have been conducted before now.

“We are very happy with the level of work we have done ahead of this year’s race, it has been very hectic, but we know we have to be thorough if we are to get the best of results and that is what we are looking forward to this weekend,” Coach Probeni declared.

The Head of Technical for the weekend’s race also confirmed that around Delta State and its environs as well as across Nigeria as a whole, there is real enthusiasm.

Apart from the national elite runners, this edition has generated interest from thousands of fun runners, students, and the physically challenged.

“The interest shown has been massive and we are elated about that, the Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon is the talk of the town across Delta state and beyond” The Technical boss affirmed.

Probeni revealed that thousands of athletes have registered both online and physically to be part of the 2018 Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon.

“The number of those that have shown interest in running this weekend is very high compared to the past two editions and that is very commendable.”

It is understood that apart from the main race billed for Saturday, March 3, there will lot of fun, food, drinks music and all-around entertainment for all this weekend.
