The senator representing the largest senatorial district in Nigeria, Lagos West and Chairman of Senate Committee on Local Content, Senator Solomon Adeola has charged his supporters and other Nigerians desirous of positive development to back away from the dangerous temptation of returning Peoples Democratic Party in the coming 2019 general election.

Addressing his supporters and campaign volunteers at the presentation of 28 branded buses to his coordinators in the 28 LGA/LCDAs of Lagos West to kick start his campaign in his senatorial office at Ikeja, the senator   said it is fraudulent to compare the 16 years of PDP rule to APC’s less than 4 years adding that the foundation and construction of the trying times Nigerians are currently undergoing were laid and built by PDP through mismanagement of our resources and shameful looting.

“It is politically fraudulent to compare APC’s less than 4 years Administration of President Mohammadu Buhari to the unbroken 16 years rule of PDP under different administrations in any sectors and blame the incumbent government for the trying times in Nigeria. The truth is that APC’s administration has been trying to clear the mess of PDP mis-governance while building necessary infrastructures that was left to decay under PDP” he stated.

Senator Adeola stated that Nigeria cannot afford to go back to the era of PDP for the sake of our future generations adding that a PDP administration in 2019 is against the interest of all Southerners as it portends power remaining in the North for more time than necessary for the sense of belonging already developing among Nigerians in the ruling of the country.

“The policy document of PDP candidates says it all of what they wants to do and how long they want to stay in power contrary to fake promises.  Abubakar Atiku has stated he will sell NNPC and refineries and the question to ask is who will be the buyers? We know his antecedents as the point man for the privatization in PDP administration in the past when many national developmental assets were sold off to cronies at giveaway prices.” Senator Adeola stated.

The senator called on his supporters not to be complacent in the campaign for him and all APC candidates stressing that there are enough development milestones of APC in Lagos State and at the Federal level to campaign based on issues and not loot induced propaganda that PDP is noted for.

“Your effort is not parallel to that of our party APC. What I am doing is to complement the effort of the party in the campaign. I will also do the third in the series of empowerment programme before the end of the year.  We have materials for all candidates to be used to complement the efforts of the party in Lagos West and we are not underrating any candidates of other political parties” he stated.
