The Honourable Minister of Transport, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who days ago declared his intention to run for the office of the President of Nigeria under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in 2023 general election in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, Emir of Kano, warmly received the Presidential hopeful in his palace as a mark of acceptance and welcome.
The Emir of Kano dropped words of advice to Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and offered prayers to guide him and his aspirations expressing confidence in him.
He gave his blessings to Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, hoping to receive him one day as the President of Nigeria after the 2023 general election.
In his reaction, the Honourable Minister of Transportation and Presidential hopeful, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who was accompanied by Senator Ali Ndume and others in his entourage, acknowledged the warm reception offered him by the Emir and his Council, expressing his gratitude for such honour, kind words and blessings offered to him.
According to Amaechi, “Last night, I visited the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero. I am grateful to the Emir for his warm reception, kind words and for his prayers & blessings”.
Amaechi, during his declaration, had told the crowd of supporters and Nigerians that he will be going round the country, from state to state, villages and every corner to hear from the people and seek for their support as he wishes to take over as the next President of Nigeria.
