The political strategy to bring former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in joining the race for president in the forthcoming general election in Nigeria is getting more interesting by the day.

While the National Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) has not publicly made his intention to succeed incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, his loyalists across the nook and crannies of the country are rooting for him, declaring that he is the best candidate for the job.

It is not a surprise however to a coalition of groups supporting Tinubu, National Coalition of Tinubu Support Groups has come out to say that if Tinubu delcare his interest today, they are ready to task themselves to pay for his nomination form.

The National Coalition of Tinubu Support Groups under the national coordinator of professor Garba Shehu working to actualize the dream of Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu presidency last Thursday promised to purchase the 2023 presidential nomination form for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu during the South West Caucus Leaders’ Meeting of the group held at Otunba Subomi Balogun Conference Centrr Mini Hall inside the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo-State where the south-west caucus leaders meeting was held.

He said the National Coalition of Tinubu Support Groups will purchase N45 million for the 2023 presidential nomination form for Tinubu, adding that if the cost of the form is even higher they are ready to raise it within five days.

“This is a small money, our goal is to make sure he becomes the next president of Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023 in other to replicate outstanding leadership performance done in Lagos state as the Governor in 1999-2007.

“We believe that as president, he will bring desirable changes. The youths will get jobs with other developmental projects as Bola Tinubu is known for,” Dr Johnson said.

While the National Financial Secretary, High Chief, Revd. Adebisi Abraham said that it is a known fact that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is very rich to purchase even 200 presidential nomination forms, but it is an honour and encouragement from NCTSG to him for the good job he has done from 1991 to date, adding that if the cost of the form is N72million, members of the coalition can within one week raise the money among themselves, as each state of the country can raise more than N2 million within a short time, as Tinubu’s presidential job is a national assignment

According to Comrade Suraj Fadairo who is in charge of Organisations and Groups Registration, the coalition has a formidable 102 registered support groups under the National Coalition of Tinubu Support Groups, as they are not organisations on paper or Facebook, but organisations with formidable grassroots-based networks.
