2027: Muslim Community Roots For Senator Adeola As Ogun Governor

Muslim Community in Abeokuta have expressed strong support for Senator Solomon Adeola, the APC Governorship candidate to become the Governor of Ogun State come 2027.

Speaking at the 8th Day Fidau Prayer for Alhaji Shakiru Ayilara aka “Shako Alhaji “, an APC chieftain in Abeokuta North LGA, at Sheik Sugar Mosque, Bode Olude, Abeokuta, Sheikh Iskeel Sugar, stated that the emergence of Senator Adeola as a candidate from Ogun West at this time is a divine project that will come to pass.

“We are all witnesses to the last 8 years of Remo man at the saddle of power for two terms. It is absurd that another Remo man will come at this time to aspire for a position that belongs to the whole Ogun State. We are no fools or slaves in Ogun State. The time is ripe for Senator Adeola and Ogun West” he stated.

The Sheikh further noted that even without being a governor of the state, Senator Adeola has started doing all that a governor is expected to do in the areas of massive infrastructure development across the state and identifying with Muslim through sponsorship of pilgrims to the Holy Land and single-handedly constructing mosque in the state.

 

His position was widely corroborated by hundreds of faithful at the Fidau prayer including Ambassador Sarafa Ishola, the Baba Adini of Muslims in Yorubaland and Edo State.

 

Responding to the remarks of the revered Sheikh, Senator Adeola condoled the wife and family for the loss of a dearly departed stressing that from the massive turnout of people at the 8th Day prayer shows that Shako Alhaji was a good man to lose at this time”

 

He stated that even as he was compiling the list of his LGA Coordinators, Shako Alhaji has been penciled down to handle Abeokuta North with approval of Ambassador Sarafa being awaited before his unfortunate demise.

“I was indeed saddened by the news of his demise and commiserated with the family. I will continue to support the family to make the loss less painful even as only Allah can console them” he stated.

 

The prayer for the chieftain was attended by Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Abiodun, the APC Deputy Governor candidate, Hon. Olumide Osoba( APC, Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency), Hon. Laolu Olabimtan, Ogun State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Kayode Oladele, Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State in Federal Character Commission and other dignitaries.
