I love 2Baba with every fiber of my musical being. He is a significant cornerstone at the foundation of my life script.
As a teenager, my first definition of love followed from the lyrics of a better part of the sensual songs of the “Plantashun Boiz”. Even after their heartbreaking break up, 2Baba has continued to dish out songs that practically give me orgasm even as an adult.
Twenty years after an active following of this musical icon I can comfortably relate with my Dad’s obsession with the musical group “ABBA”. At 78 “Gilly Boy” (Dad’s pet name with Dem ladies) still finds his kick with ABBA. He regrets never really seeing them and still has it on his wish list.
I have seen 2Baba. Many years later I doubt if this love will ever wane.
Don’t tell me shit about 2Baba’s “restless gun” — “You no holy pass my brother”.
