Three ladies, Favour Richard, 20, Akinmola Oluwasefunmi, 23 and Ayomide Ashefon, 21, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly engaging in a public fight over nude picture on the social media.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 12th August, 2024, at Megida area of Ayobo, Lagos.

The three ladies were charged for indecent act by engaging in public fight and conduct likely to cause breach of public peace.

Then two of them, Ayamide Ashefon and Richard Favour, were as well charged for posting embarrassing picture of one Akinmola Oluwasefunmi on social media and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 136 of criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.

According to the Police, the two ladies allegedly posted the nude picture on the social media, which prompted the third lady to confront them and it led to exchange of words and fighting in the public.

Their conduct was reported to the Police at Ayobo Division; the operatives arrested and detained them at the station for interrogation over their alleged conduct.

After interrogation, the Police found them culpable and consequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.

They pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
