A 15-year old girl (name withheld) got injured and was hospitalized after she was gang raped by three men in turns in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the alleged rape happened at 52 Jagua Street Itakete Imude in Ajangbadi area of Lagos State where they resided.
The suspects, Ibeji Chukwuemeka, 21, Caleb Isaac, 21, and
Paul Ehimika, 23, have been arrested and detained at the Ilembe Police Division.
Suspects paraded
They were paraded with other suspected criminals by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal at the Command, Lagos. While parading the suspects, CP Edgal said that on the 1st of June, 2018, a report was made at Ilemba–Hausa Division, Ajangbadi that the victim was viciously raped by the suspects. They allegedly tricked her into the room, threatened and blindfolded her with a red scarf. They then forcefully removed her pant, forced her into the bed and took turns to rape her.
He said that during interrogation, the suspects denied being cultists but confessed raping the teenager. However, during execution of a search warrant in their abode, the police recovered some items. The items included one cutlass, one red scarf with which they blindfolded the girl, which gave reasonable suspicion that they were cultists. CP Edgal said that the suspects will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigations.
