36 Lion Boss, Others Back Tinubu Ahead Presidential Election

36 Lion Football Club of Lagos, Olawale Liameed Gafar, has thrown his weight behind presidential candidate of All Progressive Party, APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the forthcoming Nigerian presidential election scheduled to hold on 25, February,2023.

Gafar disclosed this at the novelty match between the members of Lagos State House of Assembly and Ex internationals led by Daniel Amokachi which was held on Monday at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island.

The novelty match was put together by the Lagos lawmakers in supporting the party candidates at all level to win their forthcoming general elections.

Gafar who doubles as Sports Coordinator, National Youth Mobilization for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, told our correspondent that his support for Tinubu was as result of his impressive performance when he was a governor of Lagos and his role for nation building.

“This is the man i so much believe in his ideology and strategy.To be honest with you, Asiwaju is the best candidate for the job and I want to assure Nigerians that when Asiwaju becomes president, things would be better for all.

“What we are facing in this country now is a matter of time and it would become the things of the past when our Asiwaju ascend into power in May 29,2023,”he said.

In his own comment, the Atlanta gold medalist, Dosu Joseph,MON described Asiwaju Tinubu a man of integrity and well experienced in governance.

He also explained that the ex internationals came to honour the novelty match because of his contribution of Asiwaju Tinubu to the political, socio economic development of the country and urged Nigerians to get their PVC ready and vote for a candidate who can take the country to the next level.

While former Everton player, Daniel Amokachi commended APC for its good works done in the last seven years boasting that the APC presidential candidate is the most qualified among all candidates to take this country to the promised land.

Former AC Milan defender,Taribo West said the APC Presidential candidate is a friend of the ex internationals adding that featuring in the novelty match watched by mammoth crowd is a way of honouring the former governor of Lagos State.

Meanwhile Tijani Babaginda opened the goal scoring for ex internationals in a match declared by Governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu.The second half witnessed more goals as Victor Agali made it two for the ex internationals.

The lawmakers who enjoyed the support of the crowd quickly reduced the tally through Hon Raheem Kazeem Adewale.

But the ex internationals raised their game as Daniel Amokachi scored the third goal to make it 3-1 in the 72th minutes.

The lawmakers were more determined as Hon Jimi Lai Mohammed scored the second goal.Hon Gbolahan scored the equaliser to end the game 3-3 before the center referee signaled for the final whistle.
