Chairman 36 Lion Football Club of Lagos, Liameed Gafar has praised his former player, Junior Olaitan Ishola after he penned three- and – half year contract with French ligue 2 outfit, Chamois Niort.
The attacking midfielder who was loaned from 36 Lion to Ayema FC of Benin Republic in 2021 had distinguished himself which caught the attention of foreign scouts.
Gafar told our correspondent that he expects his young player to use his skills to help French club to get promotion to ligue 1 noted that the young lad would not only shine in the French club but quickly attracts bigger clubs in Europe.
“Ishola is a very good and committed player and I expect him to help Niort to gain promotion to Ligue 1 and very soon he would be rubbing shoulders with the big boys in French football league. I wish him best of luck in his professional career,” he said.
Ishola in a recent interview said he was happy to feature for the club and promised to take the club to the next level.
“I am very happy to join Chamois Niort a very good French club. The project meets my expectations. The Ligue 2 is good league to start my career in Europe,” Olaitan told the Media.
“There is a very good players in Chamois Niort, a lot of talent. I know the club is famous for its training. For a young player like me, this is the best choice for progress. I have come to help the team achieve their goals. It is a great challenge to take up. “he said.
