3rd Edition Of Open Water Swimming Championship Holds In May

Lagos State Swimming Association in conjunction with Geo-Planning System Technology (GPST), will host the Open Water Swimming Championship in May, 2018.

Open Water Swimming also known as Long Distant Swimming or Marathon Swimming became an Olympic game since 1992.

The 3rd edition of the Lagos Invitational Open Water Swimming Championship comes up on 12th May 2018, at the Lagos Water Regatta, Oyinkan Abayomi Street off Queens Drive, behind French Embassy, Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to the organisers, over 80 athletes have already registered for the event and the screening will commence from 1st of May, 2018.

In a chat with P.M.EXPRESS, one of the organisers of the championship and a board member of Lagos State Swimming Association, Mr. Lanre Saidi, said that this year’s edition will be more glamorous as activities have been lined up to make it an exciting championship.
