4 Killed, Others Injured In Cult Supremacy Battle

Four persons lost their lives while several others got injured during a supremacy battle between rival cults in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana.
He stated that two suspects has been arrested for the cult clash and murder in Abraham Adesanya area of Ajah, Lagos, while four corpses were evacuated to the mortuary.
DSP Elkana explained that on 14th April, 2019, at about 8.45am, Ogombo Police Station received a distress call that rival cult groups had a clash of supremacy along Abraham Adesanya, Lekki-Epe Expressway.
He said that during the clash, four members of Eiye cult gang were killed by Aiye members. The police intervened and two suspects namely Saheed Lateef, 21, and Julius Augulere, 20, both of No. 13, Obodo Street, Okeira nla, Langbasa, Ajah area of Lagos and members of Aiye Confraternity were arrested in connection with the case.
DSP Elkana said that they have already confessed committing the crime and are detained in police custody. He said one axe with blood stains was recovered from the suspects as exhibit. The four corpses were evacuated and deposited at the public mortuary for autopsy. All the corpses were said to have machete cuts with one of the corpses having the head severed but not taken away.
He said that investigation is ongoing and the Command has launched a manhunt of the other fleeing cult members while assuring that they will all be arrested and charged to Court.
