4 Suspected Armed Robbers Remanded For Stabbing Car Owner To Death During Operation

Police operatives from the Commissioner of Police Special Squad in Lagos State Command have arrested four suspected armed robbers for stabbing a car owner to death during operation. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects,  Emeka Akuara, 21, David Isheoluwa, 19, Lukeman Aroyori,19 and Samuel Ariyori, 21, were apprehended after they allegedly robbed the victim identified as Fenner Ahabue of his Toyota Camry car, used a kitchen knife to stab him to death and escaped.

 

The incident happened at Adeniji Adele area of Lagos Island and they were arrested by the operatives at Lion Building and transferred to the Special Squad for further investigation.

 

During the investigation, the Police recovered the kiitchen knife and Toyota car as exhibits. The Police consequently brought them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for conspiracy and armed robbery under the Criminal Laws of the State.

 

The charges read:

“That you Emeka Akuara ‘m’, David Isheoluwa ‘m’, Lukeman Aroyori ‘m’, Samuel Ariyori at large on the 8th day of January, 2025 at about 0200hrs at Adeniji Adele of the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony and thereby committed an offence contrary to and Punishable under the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

 

Count 2: That you, Emeke Akuara ‘m’, David isheoluwa ‘m’, Lukeman Aroyori ‘m’, Samuel Ariyori m’ and others still at large on the same date, time and place, in the same Magisterial District, while you armed yourselves with kitchen knives did rob one Toyota Saloon car with reg. No. AGL 650 HN value yet unknown, property of Etiosa Ahabue ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 297(1)(2)(a)(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State,”

 

“That you, Emeke Akuara ‘m’, David Isheoluwa ‘m’, Lukeman Aroyori ‘m’,  Samuel Ariyori and others still at large on the same date, time and place, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully and intentionally stab to death one Fenner Ahabue with knives while robbing him of his Toyota Camry saloon car thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 222 and 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

 

The Court however, did not take their plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, ordered their remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
