LUCKY LAWAL

The Lagos State Police Command paraded a 37-year old, Sikiru Tanimowo, who was alleged to have been parading with a 4-year old innocent boy.

According to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Edgal Imohimi, in the night of 6th of January, 2019, there was information from a credible source that a man was seen moving around Ogun Market Square in a suspicious manner while holding a little boy’s hand.

He said based on the information, operatives of the Command attached to Okokomaiko Division, moved swiftly to the location and arrested the suspect with the little boy who gave his name as Abu Yusuf. The suspect later led detectives to the location where he picked the 4-year old child. Thus, the police were able to locate his parents who said that they have been looking for the child and have never met the suspect before.

The CP said that the case is currently under investigation with a view to prosecuting the suspect in the court of law.  He advised parents to be careful and keep their children in the custody of responsible persons. Meanwhile, the child has been reunited with his parents.
