The police at Olosun Division in Mushin area of Lagos have arrested six suspects who allegedly converted a public secondary school to their convenience, where they defecated daily to the embarrassment of the staff and students.

The incident happened at Oduduwa Secondary School located at Ladipo Street in Mushin, Lagos.

It was gathered that the suspects jumped into the school compound every night as the school was always locked, to discharge faeces within the premises when no one was around. When the students and staff resumed for school, they usually saw heaps of faeces spread around the compound to their astonishment almost on daily basis.

The suspects were Sunday Chukwudi, Yayadu Adamu, James Sam, Eze Chinonso, Chimeze Osobie and Nkwazema Chinonso.

That had been going on for a while until the school management went to the police and reported the matter. The police then ambushed, arrested the suspects and recovered some substances suspected to be Indian hemp they were smoking there.

They were taken to the police station, interrogated and the police discovered that they usually went there to smoke as a cult group and thereafter defecate in the premises and escape.

They were charged at the Ogba Magistrates court before the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka.

They pleaded not guilty on the three count charges of smoking Indian hemp, forming an illegal group and defecating in the school premises.

They were granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
They were later remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
