On November 23, 2023, Archbishop Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Chief Shepherd and Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, celebrated his 70th birthday with a group of distinguished guests, including Professor Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, Chairman and Founder United Nigeria Airline, and various lay faithfuls, Bishops, clergies, friends, and well-wishers.
The celebration took place at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity and marked the end of a series of activities to honour Archbishop Okeke.
Archbishop Okeke was born in Umudioka in Dunukofia Local Government Area in 1953 and was ordained a priest in 1981. In 2002, he was consecrated as an Archbishop and has since devoted his life to serving God, mankind, and the Church.
