A Visit 2 Room 101/106

It was a rather serene environment with noticeably less human traffic. And with a neon sign depicting ‘SILENCE’ capping under it, ‘No Loitering’ dangling on the corridors, I was led into the cozy room at the _*Presidential Villa*_ today into an amusing and welcoming smile (as always) waiting for me. Already seated was one of the *State House* journalists who had come to have a one-on-one with Mr. President’s image-maker and Spokesperson.

In his usual idiosyncratic character, Dr. Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser/Spokesperson to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR on Media & Policy Communications, rose up to extend a handshake filled warmth and camaraderie (I could feel it). _*’Dr Omobolahan (his preferred way of calling me), you are welcome’*_. He’d said.

Typical of his demure nature, he quickly introduced me to the gentleman already seated as his 2iC with a rider, _’If you try to get my attention and I seem not available, just reach out to him. You can be sure of my getting back to you’_. I will not ‘disturb’ your ears with other ‘unmerited’ accolades he showered on me, but I knew they were genuine and unpretentious from his heart of heart. The journalist left after a while, but not without commending the Spokesperson for what he described as ‘accessibility’.

In no time, we got talking in our usual confabulation – the father2son kinda têtê-a-têtê. We went further to discuss, inter alia his plans and blueprint on marketing the government of his principal – Mr. President. I have no doubt in my mind of his capacity and capability to deliver on his mandate from Mr. President. Already, he’d introduced a new dimension to spokesmanship with some novel ideas he birthed recently. I have no doubt that when he finally gets the nod of Mr. President on other activities he had outlined, Nigeria and Nigerians will witness a presidential image-maker like ne’er before.

I must say without sounding highfalutin or la-di-da, his office located on the upper floor numbered _*Room 101/106*_, adjacent to the _*Chief of Staff’s*_ is uniquely located to help him deliver on his job descriptions however herculean they may seem.

In the coming weeks, when Dr. Daniel Bwala’s blueprint on citizenship engagements, policy communications, and public engagements on governance as a whole start unfolding, 2027 poll would have been won and lost.

Nigeria is in for a voyage of positive discoveries with President Tinubu’s magic touch.

Thank you, my down-to-earth, demure, and unassuming Dr. Bwala for the warmth reception. May Nigeria triumph under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
