Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba Honoured At African Women In Business Summit

The National Deputy Chairman of the Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria and the Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Lagos State, Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has been honoured with an award of excellence at the African Women In Business Summit.

The grand event, which took place on Saturday 27th November, 2021, was held at Shehu Musa YarÁdua Centre, Memorial Drive, Central Business District, FCT, Abuja.

The African Women in Business event was organized by Nigeria Outlook in collaboration with the Committee on Co-Operation & Integration in Africa (Federal House of Representatives) and endorsed by the African Union (ECOSOCC) through a joint partnership project between the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and AU-ECOSOCC Nigeria tagged ‘The New Decade 2020-2030 African Women’s Financial and Economic Inclusion in Nigeria’.

The one-day hybrid event featured inspirational keynote speeches delivered by Africa’s most influential women, featured unrivalled networking opportunities, the launch of the Leading Women publication, exhibitions, award, gala night and unparalled access to leading content engineered to assist women in maximizing their career in business and other fields.

Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, who was one of the Special Guests of Honour, held the audience spell bound with her presentation ‘The Conditioned Status of Women in African Culture’, which earned her a resounding ovation.

Over the years, Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba has been known for her clamour for the girl child protection, opportunity for youths in leadership and many strides in championing the cause of women in every sector of the society while her achievements in the political circles cannot be ignored. So the award bestowed on her was a well deserved one.

High points of the event were the decoration of Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba with the African Leading Amazon award by the Emir of Zazzau, cultural fiesta, documentary and the African Leading Women publication launch.

The African Women Business Summit is one of Africa’s largest, most prestigious and most dynamic women conference, designed to help women supercharge their careers in the business and professional world.
