Upon reading a news item titled “Abia 2027: Ukwa-Ngwa Leaders of Old Aba Division Beckon Deputy Speaker, Kalu to Run for Governor,” I couldn’t help but burst into laughter. The reason for my amusement was the list of individuals championing this sinister political move. Names like Godwin Nna, Don Ubani, and Uzo Azubuike are hardly synonymous with credibility. And Hon. Benjamin Kalu, seemingly pleased with their endorsement, promised them that he and APC would deliver in 2027.
Let’s be clear: those pushing Deputy Speaker Kalu to contest against Governor Alex Otti in 2027 need to reassess their priorities. Godwin Nna, a political merchant without a clearly defined means of livelihood, thinks he can just waltz in and endorse Kalu for governor? Nna and his cohorts, who contributed to Abia’s downfall before Governor Otti’s administration, should be ashamed.
What exactly are Kalu’s achievements? Is it sheltering displaced and corrupt politicians from PDP seeking refuge in APC? Is it boasting about occupying the sixth position that Ndigbo were relegated to by his party and the current leadership of the country? Or claiming credit for the little that comes to the South East from the Federal Government? These are hardly feats worth celebrating. Kalu’s desperation for power is nauseating. We are aware of his antics of mobilizing failed and expired Abia politicians into APC to further his selfish ambition. APC’s track record speaks for itself—rigging elections and failing the people.
Meanwhile, Governor Otti is busy transforming Abia State. In less than two years, he’s achieved what previous administrations couldn’t do for decades. Roads are being constructed, healthcare is improving, and education is being prioritized. Abia is rising, and Governor Otti is the driving force. By 2027, Abia will be unrecognizable. Governor Otti’s focus on infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and human capital development will catapult the state to new heights. The people know it, and they’re excited.
But what about the vultures gathering around Kalu? They’re just that—vultures scavenging for power and public funds. They contributed to Abia’s downfall; now they want to scuttle its progress? Not on Governor Otti’s watch. Governor Otti remains focused and committed to transforming Abia State, undeterred by the shenanigans of 2027. He knows Abians will judge him based on his performance, and he’s delivering.
The people who freely gave him the mandate believe in him. They know he’s working tirelessly to right the wrongs of past administrations. Governor Otti’s fate will be determined by his performance, not by Kalu’s propaganda. Kalu’s APC may have plans to rig the 2027 election, but Abians won’t be fooled. They’ve seen through the deceit and will make informed decisions. Governor Otti’s track record speaks for itself—transparency, accountability, and results.
As the 2027 election approaches, Abians will remember Governor Otti’s achievements. They’ll recall the ruins of past administrations and the transformation underway. The choice will be clear. Governor Otti is the eagle soaring high, while Kalu and his cohorts are just vultures gathering to scavenge. Abians know who to trust—Governor Otti, the leader transforming their state.
The future looks bright for Abia under Governor Otti’s leadership. With his focus on development and progress, the state will continue to rise. Kalu and his APC can keep plotting; Governor Otti will keep delivering. Abia’s destiny is clear—progress, development, and prosperity under Governor Otti’s leadership.
Governor Otti’s commitment to Abia’s growth is unwavering. He’ll continue to work tirelessly, delivering results and improving lives. Abians are excited about the future. In the end, it’s Governor Otti’s performance that will speak for itself. Abians will judge him based on his achievements, not Kalu’s propaganda. The choice will be clear—Governor Otti, the leader transforming Abia State.
The eagle will continue to soar high, while the vultures will have to fly elsewhere. Abia’s future is bright, and Governor Otti is at the helm. With Governor Otti’s leadership, Abia will become a model for other states. His commitment to development and progress will inspire others. The state’s transformation will be a testament to his leadership.
Abia 2027 will be a celebration of Governor Otti’s achievements. The state would’ve transformed, and the people will be living better lives. Kalu and his cohorts will be left in the dust.
May God bless the resilient and hardworking Abians.
