The ABOSCO Initiative, founded by Hon. Abimbola Osikoya, has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting families and promoting the welfare of children with the successful hosting of its annual Back-to-School Programme.

The programme, held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Opera Garden, Omole Estate Phase 1, Lagos, attracted parents who came out en masse with their wards to benefit from the initiative as they prepared to resume the new academic session.

The atmosphere at the venue was filled with excitement as pupils and students expressed their joy, while parents warmly appreciated the gesture by Hon. Osikoya and her team.

Many of the parents showered prayers and words of appreciation on the ABOSCO team, describing the initiative as a timely intervention that would help ease some of the financial pressure associated with sending their children back to school.

The event also provided an opportunity for families to connect, interact and celebrate the importance of education, while reinforcing the message that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and pursue a brighter future.

Speaking during the programme, Hon. Abimbola Osikoya (ABOSCO) reaffirmed her passion for humanitarian service, particularly her commitment to the welfare of women and children.

She explained that her love for women and children goes beyond mere words, stressing that she considers their wellbeing, dignity and future as issues that deserve collective attention and practical intervention.

According to her, her dedication to humanitarian services is driven by the desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people, especially vulnerable families who may be struggling to meet basic needs.

“I have a deep love for women and children, and that love has continued to inspire my humanitarian work. When you support a child, you are not just helping that child today; you are investing in the future. When you empower a woman, you are also strengthening the family and the community,” she said.

Hon. Osikoya further emphasised that humanitarian service should be about identifying genuine needs and responding to them with compassion, sincerity and consistency.

She expressed gratitude to the parents, children, supporters and members of her team who contributed to the success of the programme, promising that the ABOSCO Initiative would continue to explore ways of touching lives and supporting families.

The successful Back-to-School Programme once again underscored Hon. Abimbola Osikoya’s commitment to community service and her determination to use humanitarian intervention as a tool for creating hope and improving the lives of women and children.

For the parents and their excited wards, however, the event was more than a back-to-school programme, it was a moment of relief, encouragement and renewed hope as they prepared for another academic journey.
