Executive Chairman of the Governing Board of Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr Kweku Tandoh has expressed gratitude to KIA Motors for living up to its promise for the recently held Access Bank Lagos City Marathon.
KIA Motor had promised two brand new salon cars to the male and female winners in the 10km race of the marathon event held on 2 February, 2019. The KIA Motors fulfilled the promise on Thursday with public presentation of the brand new KIA cars to Olufunmi Abdulateef, a football player with Rising Stars FC of Eti-Osa, Lagos, who won the male category and Hart Priscilla, a final year student of Rivers State University, who won the female category.
Tandoh, who was at the presentation ceremony told journalists that he was happy that one of the sponsors of the Marathon had fulfilled its promise.
“We are gathered here today to witness the cars presentation presented by KIA Motors. We are happy about this. It shows that the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is waxing stronger. At the government level we will continue to partner the private sector so that sports will be quickly developed in the state,” he said
