Activist Sulaiman Commiserates With UNIBADAN Authority, ASUU & Family Over Demise Of University Lecturer

A human rights activist and Executive Chairman, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ),Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman, has comiserated with the authourity of the premier university in Nigeria,the University of Ibadan and the University Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of the University(ASUU) over the sudden demise of the University Senior lecturer in the Department of History, Dr. David Olayinka Ajayi, at 53 years of age, saying that sudden death of the renowned academician and historian was a suprise to all and sundry.
The rights activist also comisserated with the immediate family of the deceased, urging them to accept the incident in good faith as will of Almighty God.
Comrade Sulaiman disclosed that he received the news of the sudden death of Dr. Ajayi with a rude shock, saying that Late Ajayi would be remembered for his selfless service to humanity.
In a condolence message personally signed by Comrade Sulaiman to the University authority and Academic Union of the University, which the deceased was an active member, he commiserated with them for the irreparable loss.
Sulaiman, who doubles as the Convener, Save Lagos Group (SLG), maintained that the deceased was one of their best lecturers in the Department of History of the University that had modeled the lives of many students who had passed through his tutelage in life and those people have equally made it in life.
Sulaiman described the deceased as a hard working academician, a great historian and educator who knows his onions and has always gone for academic excellence.
He urged the deceased family members, friends and associates to take solace in the legacy of hard work and selfless service left behind by late Dr. David Olayinka Ajayi.
Sulaiman prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased while asking God to give the family, associates, friends, the university management and academic colleagues the fortitude to bear the  irreparable loss.
