Nollywood actress and businesswoman, Chief (Dr.) Lizzy Anjorin-Lawal, popularly known as Lizzy Anjorin, has issued cease-and-desist notices to over 100 bloggers, vloggers, YouTubers and social media personalities, including fellow actress Iyabo Ojo and her daughter, Priscilla, over alleged defamation, libel and cyberbullying
The notices, dated October 3, 2026, demand the removal of disputed online content, public retractions and apologies, as well as written undertakings not to repeat the alleged conduct.
Anjorin’s lawyers also warned that failure to comply within seven days could lead to legal action, including claims for N50 million in damages against each affected individual.
Those named in the notices include alongside Iyabo Ojo and her daughter are; Gistlover, Amebohotgist, PauseandponderTV, Alujo TV, Alaroye TV, Tosin Silverdam Media Blog, TVCNewsNg, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Izzy Ogbeide, Miss Debby TV, Germany Boss Lady TV and several other social media personalities and platforms.
Others include; Esabod Tokunbo Aboderin, Akeem Akintola Olalekan Taoreed, Olu Olowogemo Harejan, Adewunmi Fatai, Olabanji Farms, Alvin Odibo and other online commentators.
The legal notices were issued by Anjorin’s lawyers, O.A.U. Enahoro, Bayo Akinlade and A.U.E. Ogboi, who accused the affected individuals and platforms of allegedly publishing negative online content involving their client, her businesses and family.
According to the lawyers, the disputed publications were allegedly used to attract public attention and generate revenue while exposing the actress to ridicule and potentially damaging her reputation and commercial interests.
The legal team further alleged that some of the recipients had circulated false claims and made criminal allegations against Anjorin during live broadcasts without supporting police reports or court judgments.
The lawyers maintained that the alleged conduct could undermine public confidence in their client’s businesses and cause reputational damage.
Consequently, they directed the recipients to remove the disputed posts, videos, live broadcasts, clips and reposts from their respective platforms within seven days of the notices.
They also demanded public retractions and apologies with prominence comparable to that of the allegedly defamatory publications, alongside written undertakings that the recipients would refrain from repeating the conduct complained of.
The lawyers warned that failure to meet the demands could prompt their client to institute legal proceedings seeking N50 million in damages against each affected blogger, vlogger or individual, as stated in the notices.
They also threatened to seek perpetual injunctions restraining further publication of the disputed material, as well as litigation costs.
In addition, the legal team said it could petition relevant security agencies to investigate the alleged conduct and consider possible criminal investigation and prosecution.
The notices, according to the document, have been delivered to some of the recipients through their social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, as well as by email and registered delivery methods.
