From building a distinguished career in litigation and legal advisory services to leading AAA Chambers as its Managing Partner, Mr. Adetunji Adedoyin-Adeniyi’s elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) marks a defining moment in his professional journey.

The honour recognises his years of experience in legal practice and stands as a fitting reward for dedication, commitment and excellence.

Adedoyin-Adeniyi was among three graduates of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, who were sworn in as Senior Advocates of Nigeria at a special session of the Supreme Court in Abuja on October 12, 2026, to mark the commencement of the 2026/2027 legal year.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B. Hons.) from Igbinedion University, Benin, Edo State, before being admitted as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Over the years, Adedoyin-Adeniyi has built extensive experience across several areas of legal practice, including debt recovery and insolvency, asset and property management, commercial and banking transactions, company secretarial services, land disputes, wills and probate.

His professional expertise also encompasses legal advisory services in banking, aviation, maritime, power and energy, and real estate, as well as the legal aspects of local and foreign investments.

Having worked with notable litigation law firms in Nigeria, Adedoyin-Adeniyi has developed a broad understanding of courtroom practice and legal advisory services.

His experience has enabled him to represent the interests of clients across different sectors, providing legal guidance and representation in diverse matters.

Currently, he is the Managing Partner of AAA Chambers, a law firm he established in May 2011. Under his leadership, the firm has built a team of lawyers who provide legal services to individuals and corporate organisations, both in and out of court.

Among the firm’s clients are Guaranty Trust Bank, Union Bank, Heritage Bank, First City Monument Bank, UAC, AG Mortgage and Access Bank.

His professional affiliations include membership of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association, reflecting his participation in the wider legal community and his engagement with the legal profession at both national and international levels.

Adedoyin-Adeniyi’s elevation to the prestigious rank of Silk also represents a milestone for Igbinedion University, which was established in 1999 by its Founder and Chancellor, Sir Chief Dr Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom, as Nigeria’s first private university.

The university has continued to emphasise legal education through its Oba Erediauwa College of Law. The elevation of three of its alumni to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria highlights the institution’s contribution to the development of legal professionals in the country.

Speaking on Adedoyin-Adeniyi’s elevation, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, who was represented at the swearing-in ceremony by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor O.G. Izevbuwa, congratulated the newly elevated SAN, describing his achievement as a source of pride to the university community.

He said the elevation of the alumni affirmed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, integrity and professional competence.

The Vice-Chancellor also paid tribute to the vision of the university’s founder, acknowledging the institution’s role in advancing legal education and producing professionals who contribute to the development of the legal profession in Nigeria.

He urged the newly elevated Senior Advocates to mentor younger lawyers while upholding the principles of justice and the rule of law.

For Adedoyin-Adeniyi, the conferment of the SAN rank adds a distinguished professional honour to his career as a legal practitioner and head of AAA Chambers. It also strengthens his standing within Nigeria’s legal profession, recognising his experience in litigation, commercial transactions and legal advisory services across multiple sectors.

His elevation places him among the country’s senior legal practitioners and marks a significant milestone in a professional journey shaped by years of legal practice, leadership and service.
