The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been hailed for putting up a courageous display in the 0-1 loss to Tunisia in the Round of 16 of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroun.
Going into the match, Nigeria was tipped as favourites to defeat Tunisia, having won all their matches in the group stage of the championship.
Reacting quickly to the unfortunate defeat suffered by the Super Eagles, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, Group Managing Director of Adron Homes and Properties, who hailed the heroics of the team, thus far, described the loss as unfortunate and painful.
However, he remarked that the team wasn’t disgraced despise the loss. According to the ardent football fan, the team led by Austin Eguavoen gave a valiant fight and did not really deserve to lose the match.
“It is painful that our boys couldn’t fly past Tunisia on Sunday. Nevertheless, I believe they showed bravery and determination to win the game, which was in vain.
“We played very well in the match, despite playing with a man short. Therefore, I commend Coach Austin Eguavoen and his boys for their valiant efforts. Nigerians shouldn’t despair because, going forward, we now have a team that can bring glory and honours to Nigeria,” Emmanuelking remarked.
