Onyeobi said that the hosting right of the event, given to the state by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), will not only harness the budding talents that abound in the state, but will further promote grassroots in every ramifications.

According to him, Okowa has impressed Deltas with the monumental achievements recorded by his administration since it came on board three years ago especially the completion of Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba.

In his word,  “Governor Okowa has performed wonderfully well in delivering the much-needed dividends of democracy to Deltans to the extent that his (the governor’s) cynics are amazed by his (the governor’s) cost-efficient service delivery through the faithful implementation of his well-articulated SMART Agenda.”

The monarch stated that the people of Asaba kingdom were solidly behind the governor.

He, therefore, called on Deltans to ensure that they cooperate and support the government in hosting our visitors from all over the world.
