Nigerians in the Diaspora, in conjunction with the Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Organisation (NDDIS), are thrilled to announce a landmark event that took place at the prestigious Hotel Charing Cross, London.
The event heralded the launch of Air Peace’s direct flight services between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
This defining milestone, organised under the adept leadership of Otunba Bimbo Robert Folayan, Founder and CEO of NDDIS, signifies a new chapter in bridging the gap between the Nigerian Diaspora and their homeland, encouraging cultural ties and economic opportunities.
The gala event, held on Thursday, 28th March, 2024, was a celebration and a path to progress, attracting a host of dignitaries and leaders from the Nigerian Diaspora. Among the attendees were Her Excellency Mrs. Carolyn Onyebuchi-Adelakun, a foundational member of the APC in the Diaspora; Otunba Ade Adesina, an APC leader; Commandant Alistair Soyode, the visionary behind Europe’s first Black TV channel; Mr. Abass Abayomi Tijani (Deejay Abass), an acclaimed Entertainment Consultant; and Adeola Adeleye-Fasubaa Esq., the Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor on Diaspora Matters. Their presence added to the collective support and enthusiasm for this historic initiative.
This celebratory event precedes the inaugural flight scheduled for March 30, 2024, which has already captured the interest and excitement of the Nigerian community, selling out swiftly. To make travel more accessible and affordable, Air Peace has set the economy ticket price at N1.2 million, significantly reducing the cost of travel on this route. This initiative is expected to enhance the mobility of Nigerians, promoting business exchanges and familial connections between the two nations.
The Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Organisation is at the forefront of mobilising investment into Nigeria from its Diaspora community and British and international investors. Led by Otunba Bimbo Robert Folayan, NDDIS is dedicated to creating pathways for economic growth and development, leveraging the strength and potential of the Nigerian diaspora.
Nigeria’s largest airline, Air Peace, is committed to easing Nigerians’ burden of travel by providing affordable, direct flight services. With the launch of its direct flights to the UK, Air Peace is set to redefine international travel for Nigerians, offering unparalleled service and Connectivity.
