Nigeria’s foremost Oil and Gas Company, Aiteo and Ethiopian Airlines have been included on the long list of organisations and individuals earmarked for honours in the maiden Fund Raising and Awards Night of the Super Eagles Supporters Club holding on Friday, May 24, 2019, at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos.

According to a statement from the Secretariat of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, it said, “In view of Aiteo’s enormous contributions to the development of football in the country and Africa in general, we had no choice than to include the company among the leading award recipients on the night.”

The National Chairman of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Prince Vincent Okumagba, said that the Executive Vice President of Aiteo, Mr. Francis Peters, would be present to receive the awards on behalf of the company.

“They (Aiteo) have done so much in reenergizing the sports sector, particularly football. You can’t talk of Nigerian football without mentioning the company. They have taken over the sponsorship of the NFF and CAF Annual Awards and also the FA Cup” Okumagba said

Also included on the list awardees are Ethiopian Airlines, Adron Homes and Yetkem.

A top official of the Super Eagles Supporters Club revealed that the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, would be the Royal Father of the day.

Other awardees include Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi and Kessington Adebutu, Sports Minister, Barr. Solomon Dalung and Nigeria Football Federation President and CAF Vice President, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick. Both will also serve as the Distinguished Guest of Honour and Special Guest of Honour respectively.
