The lawmaker representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has denied allegations linking her loyalists to the disruption that occurred during the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Congress in Oluyole, describing the claims as false and politically motivated.

In a statement issued by her media office, Akande-Sadipe said she was not present at the congress and did not authorize, sponsor, or encourage any act of violence before, during, or after the exercise.

She dismissed attempts to associate her name with thuggery or disorder, insisting that such narratives were misleading.

“More so, the individuals who orchestrated and led the thugs are widely known to members of the Party”, she said.

The lawmaker reaffirmed her commitment to peace, internal democracy, and unity within the APC in Oluyole Local Government.

She noted that throughout her political career, she has consistently worked to reconcile aggrieved party members, promote dialogue, and prevent factional crises within the party.

While acknowledging that party congresses can generate heightened emotions, Akande-Sadipe stressed the need for maturity and due process in resolving disputes rather than resorting to public accusations or media trials.

She welcomed a thorough and independent investigation by relevant security agencies and party authorities into the incident.

According to the statement, she supports a review of available evidence, including eyewitness accounts and audiovisual materials from the venue, and urged party members with credible information to cooperate fully with investigators.

She also called for restraint in public commentary pending the outcome of formal inquiries.

Akande-Sadipe cautioned against what she described as the growing trend of weaponizing unverified allegations in the political space, warning that such actions could deepen mistrust and destabilize the party.

She reiterated her loyalty to the APC and respect for its structures.

The lawmaker commended security agencies for restoring calm after the incident and expressed sympathy to anyone who may have sustained injuries.

She maintained that violence has no place in the party and that anyone found culpable should face appropriate consequences under the law and party regulations.

Akande-Sadipe called on stakeholders, elders, youth leaders, ward executives, and party faithful in Oluyole to rise above factional rhetoric and recommit to unity and discipline, emphasizing that the strength of the APC in the area lies in solidarity rather than division.
